Also worth having a good look at 78 Degrees of Wisdom, a classic tarot book that doesn't over emphasise interpretations, it talks a lot about the cards, and encourages you to learn them and make your own connections. I recently started reading Rachel Pollack's Tarot Wisdom, her follow up to 78 Degrees of Wisdom. If I did have to pick a favorite, this may be it. The two volumes of Seventy-Eight. 78 Degrees of Wisdom by Rachel Pollack – deep and rich with information, no list is complete without this book. All pictures were done by me aside from the Mind picture =D. And besides, the cards are very beautiful. I also got the RWS because of 78 Degrees of Wisdom – fabulous book. A revolving library of tarot reference books; two favorites: Tarot Plain I see The Prince as this book's Western complement and recommend reading them both. Tarot is a formidable tool for experiencing this. And of course, other books I was reading used it.
